A simple lemon cake baked in an English cake (loaf) pan, with lemon zest and heavy cream. I make it when I want a homemade cake without much work.

How I make it

Preheat the oven to 320°F. Grease an English cake (loaf) pan with butter and dust it with flour.
Beat the eggs, then add the sugar and salt gradually, not all at once.
Lower the mixer speed and add the butter and the lemon zest.
Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and heavy cream.
Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
Bake for about 1 hour at medium-low heat.
