# Spaghetti and Chicken Hamin (Shabbat Stew)

A spaghetti and chicken hamin with paprika, set over a layer of potatoes. I put it in the oven overnight and serve it on Shabbat turned out of the pot like a cake.

## What you need

- 2 packages Spaghetti
- 1 Chicken (cut into eighths)
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Sweet paprika
- 4 Potatoes (peeled and thickly sliced)
- 2 cups Water
- Salt
- Oil for frying

## How I make it

1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions.
2. Fry the chicken with the onion, garlic, and paprika, and season with salt.
3. Add two cups of water, turn off the heat, and cover the pot.
4. In a deep pot, arrange a layer of potatoes with a little oil and fry until golden.
5. Arrange a layer of spaghetti over the potatoes, put the chicken on top, and finish with another layer of spaghetti.
6. Add the juices from the chicken and cover with an inverted plate.
7. Put it in the oven at 210°F for 12 hours.
8. Turn the pot over onto a large plate and serve like a cake.

## What I've learned

- I like to add hard-boiled eggs to the hamin too.
