# Simple Bolognese Sauce

A simple Bolognese sauce made with ground meat, onion, and tomato sauce, which I cook slowly in a covered pot until thick.

## What you need

- 1 lb Ground meat
- 4 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 Medium onions (Finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Dried oregano
- 10½ oz Tomato sauce for cooking (1 can)
- Salt

## How I make it

1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the onion over medium heat until golden.
2. Add the meat and cook until done.
3. Add the paprika and oregano and stir well.
4. Add the tomato sauce. Fill the sauce can with water twice, add the water, and bring to a boil.
5. Cook over low heat in a covered pot for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
6. Season with salt toward the end of cooking.

## What I've learned

- Instead of ready-made tomato sauce, I use a tablespoon of tomato paste and a little crushed tomatoes.
