# Parmesan Sticks

Twisted puff pastry sticks with Parmesan and herbs, which I make from half a package of puff pastry and bake for ten minutes.

## What you need

- ½ package Puff pastry (1 sheet)
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Water
- ¼ cup Grated Parmesan
- 1 tbsp Chopped parsley
- ½ tsp Dried oregano leaves

## How I make it

1. Preheat the oven to 390°F.
2. Whisk the egg with the water. In a separate bowl, mix the cheese with the seasonings.
3. Lightly roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 14 by 10 inches.
4. Cut the dough in half lengthwise into two rectangles and brush both with the egg.
5. Sprinkle the cheese mixture over one half and place the other half on top, egg-brushed side facing in. Run a rolling pin over it to seal the two pieces together.
6. Cut crosswise into 28 strips about 1/2 inch wide and twist each strip.
7. Place them spaced apart on a baking sheet and press the ends of each stick onto the sheet.
8. Brush with egg and bake for 10 minutes.

## What I've learned

- I press the ends onto the baking sheet so the sticks don't untwist while baking.
