# Chocolate Pinwheel Cookies

Rolled cookies made from a butter and cream dough, filled with Nutella or any other spread and sliced before baking.

## What you need

### Dough

- 7 oz butter, softened
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2½ cups self-rising flour (2½ cups)
- 2½ tsp baking powder
- ½ cup heavy cream (120 ml)

### Filling and topping

- Nutella or any other spread
- powdered sugar for dusting

## How I make it

1. Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C).
2. Mix all the dough ingredients by hand until the dough is smooth, like modeling clay.
3. Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll each into a rectangle about ¼ inch (0.5 cm) thick.
4. Spread each rectangle with Nutella, roll up into a log and cut into slices.
5. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake for about 25 minutes.
7. Let cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
